Monday, November 3, 2008

It's almost here, and it's almost over (finally!). The United States Presidential Election is tomorrow, November 4th and if you don't already feel completely overwhelmed with information, and need a bit more, here's a list of websites to stay up to the minute with all Election information, predictions, feelings, news, and more.

Digg Election Coverage - http://digg.com/2008_us_elections
Digg.com has a topic page dedicated to 2008 Political News. This is a pretty good place to get interesting news, but not the most up-to-the-second info.

CNN Election Center - http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008
Can't leave out CNN on the list. They have estimates, news, analysis, videos and more. Very good resource for following everything that's going on.

YouTube You Choose - http://www.youtube.com/youchoose
YouTube has a ton of videos about the election. Obama, McCain and other politicians, channels and contributors. Check it out.

Finding Where to Vote - http://www.maps.Google.com/Vote
If you get lost on the way to voting or don't know where your nearest polling place is - Google has you covered. Simply put in your home address and the app tells you where to go.

FactCheck - http://www.factcheck.org/
Factcheck.org is a great resource and often an almost scary website that shows how stretched the truth has gotten in this campaign. This s more a great read than something super important for election day... probably should have known about this already.

Twitter Election '08 http://election.twitter.com/
Twitter is an excellent place to get up to the second information about the election. Twitter is almost always ahead of any journalism since everything is instant and accessible. You can take in a ton of information quickly since everyone's posts are so short. As info is discovered, it's on Twitter. This is definitlely one to watch.

ABC's Match-O-Matic - Match-O-Matic
If you're still wondering who to vote for or want to make sure you making the right decision - check out ABC's Match-O-Matic. They throw out random quotes and issue stances and you choose. Then it tells you which way you actually lean based on what you chose.

Electoral-Vote http://www.electoral-vote.com/
Electoral Vote has been tracking the election and has a state by state breakdown of predictions as well as other stats & info.
